Using the keypad/display
The keypad/display communicates with every humidifier tank's
controller in the multi-tank group. The upper right corners of
the Main and Idle screens identify the humidifier tank controller
the keypad/display is talking to, indicated by two letters and one
number (see “AM1” in the figures below):
t 5IFGJSTUMFUUFSJOEJDBUFTUIFBEESFTTPGUIFIVNJEJGJFSUBOLBOE
controller that the keypad is talking to, also called “the tank
hosting the display,” indicated by letters A through P.
t 5IFTFDPOEMFUUFSJOEJDBUFTXIFUIFSUIFDPOUSPMMFSPGUIFUBOL
hosting the display is also the master controller (M) or is a slave
controller (S).
t 5IFOVNCFSJOEJDBUFTUIFQSJPSJUZHSPVQPGUIFUBOLIPTUJOHUIF
display (numbers 0-3).
To select which tank should host the display, choose the MT Status
item from the Main Menu. Press the Next button until the tank to
be selected is shown. Press the Mk Host button to make that tank
the display host.
Note: Pressing the Next button will cycle from tank A to the highest
named tank (the tank named with a letter closest to the letter “A”)
from which the display is getting a status update and then back to
A. If a tank is not reporting a status update, but a higher named
tank is displaying a status update, the non-reporting tank will be
shown, but instead of MASTER or SLAVE, the display will show
–no comm–.
For example, if tanks A, B, C, and D are installed, but C is turned
off, tanks A, B and D will show their normal status, but tank C will
show –no comm–. However, if tank D is turned off, only tanks A, B
and C will be shown. The message –no comm– means that a tank
was previously part of the multi-tank group but for some reason is
no longer available.
The letters and number, “AM1,”
JOEJDBUFUIFGPMMPXJOH
t “A” indicates the address of the

t “M” indicates that the controller

t “1” indicates the priority group of
the tank hosting the display
