Installation and Operation Manual
Humidifier tanks ordered as a multi-tank group are configured at
the factory. The configuration process includes:
t "TTJHOJOHMFUUFSOBNFTUPUBOLT
t "TTJHOJOHQSJPSJUZHSPVQOVNCFST
t $POGJHVSJOHUIFNBTUFSDPOUSPMMFS
The instructions below describe this process for you to use if you
need to reconfigure an existing tank for operation in a multi-tank
group.
Multi-tank configuration process
1. Power on the first humidifier to be configured, or if all
humidifiers are already on, remove the LonTalk connections
between the humidifiers. This insures that the user knows
which humidifier is being configured (the display will only
be able to talk to the humidifier it is attached to without the
LonTalk connections between humidifiers) and can be labeled
accordingly.
2. If not already in the Main Menu, press the Main button on the
display.
3. In the Main Menu scroll to item 6) MT Status and push the
Enter button.
4. If this is the first tank configured, all other tanks should be
either off or disconnected as described in Step 1; there should
be only one tank available in the Multitank Status screen named
“1” (see Figure 52-1 on Page 52). If this is an additional tank in
the system, push the Next button until you come to the new “1”
tank. Press the Mk Host button to have the display communicate
with the new tank. The Main Menu will be reloaded and the
display will be communicating with the new tank.
5. Wait for the clock to appear in the upper right corner of the
Main Menu and then scroll to item 4) Set Up and push the Enter
button.
6. Push the Next button until you come to the Configuration String
screen (see Figure 48-1).
7. The third digit of the configuration string needs to be changed
to a letter. The letter must be unique in the group—that is, there
can be only one “A” and only one “B,” etc. After you change the
tank name using the configuration string, the display continues
